Road Markings

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Paul Whiteman at 16:35, Sat 10 July 2010; the map was not used so pin location may be inaccurate
Sent to Cambridgeshire County Council 4 minutes later

Junction of Hill Rise/Houghton Road (A1123) pot holes temporarily repaired but road markings erased. Right turn lane into Hill Rise is offset which places you in line with oncoming downhill traffic, often heavy vehicles. Very dangerous.

Have written twice to Hunts DC now, pointing out that they will be liable in the event of accident, but still no work carried out. Road changes are planned for the area so perhaps they are, wrongly in my opinion, waiting for these.

Have written to Council twice over this issue, they advise that it has been inspected but do not regard it as dangerous. 3 lanes into 2 at a t-junction on a downhill bend which leaves right turning vehicles in the path of oncoming traffic, often lorries, and its not dangerous? All I'm asking for is some lane markings, would do it myself at night but would probably be caught and charged!!
