Dear sir or madam, can we please address this problem of cars and motorbikes raceing up and down on the sea front on a daily basis the level of complaints from our guests is rising all the time and is the main topic every morning with some guests booking out the next morning due to the noise of these cars and bikes, we have lost a lot of business due to this problem it is not just the raceing /loud music /abuse coming from these vehicles it is also the loud exhaust systems on these vehicles that is also the problem, this mybe our last summer season running our bed&breakfast/guest house if this problem is not fixed, and that would leave just 3 tradeing guest houses left on the sea front such a shame as we all work very hard to give accommadation for tourists visiting herne bay the speed limit should be reduced to 20mph as a start or even 15mph in the summer months due to the amount of children playing on the sea front and crossing the road as well as the elderly trying to cross the road, add this with the anti-social behavior of the people coming and going mainly from the bandstand pub and saxon shore pub and talk night club the level of swearing and shouting and drunken behavior is terrible for the local people and tourists to see when walking on the sea front on a late summer`s evening, add that with the car and bike problem and its welcome to herne bay??? so please please listen to the local people who work and live here for the sake of this lovely town and sea front before its to late.
