Dangerous traffic 'calming'

Reported in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 22:05, Wed 30 June 2010
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later

Last yr islands were built in Welsh Row to make single line traffic, one outside Malbank School and one by Queens Drive. There is no clear signage to indicate cars must STOP and allow traffic through from other direction. As pedestrian I feel more vulnerable now than before they did the 'calming'. Have asked Cllr to help but nothing happened. Pse put signs up like the one attached, in nearby Marsh Lane

Nothing has happened. Still dangerous.

New bollards have been installed but they are only 18" high. Cars still do not get a warning that the road narrows, and there is still a temporary rusting arrow hung on the bollard suggesting drivers should drive round it instead of through it.
