Pedestrian crossing does not 'beep' when green man shown

I see this as medium priority.

The new pedestrian crossing is great, but the lack of an audible tone when the signal changes to green makes it harder to cross (not too mention less accessible by those who may be blind or partially sighted).

Received an excellent response explaining why the 'problem' I reported cannot be 'fixed' as it would cause other problems.

There doesn't seem to be a way of specifying this kind of status on FixMyStreet...
