Residents Car parking

The Council have a sign at the entrance of the car park displaying 'residents parking Saturday and sunday'. As a resident of the borough with a parking permit i drove up there to park and was told by an NCP employee that this was not the case and that i would park there at my own risk. I explained the signage at the entrance and he said that it was incorrect. So could the council please remove this sign if thats not the case or correct this the sign as totally misleading to residents?!

The council know they are at fault here and refuse to do anything about it!!
