Crumbling concrete

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Tony Edmondson at 14:17, Thu 27 May 2010
Sent to Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council 2 minutes later

The concreted footpath area in front of my gates is in a highly deteriorated condition. Due mainly to the harsh winter but also local children digging at the crumbling surface. Entire area need digging up and re-laying.

Had a visit from the council 1st week in June to say job is 'in hand' - heard nothing since :-(

Although I have answeres no above, the problem has in part been 'fixed'. In my opinion a quick layer of tarmac over the crumbled concrete is neither fit for purpose nor in keeping with the surroundings. Also, I am unable to open my gates properly due to raised surface. Currently awaiting an inspector to discuss further.
