Cracks and large dips in Road surface

Reported in the Potholes category by Jo Stone at 21:31, Mon 24 May 2010
Sent to Lambeth Borough Council 4 minutes later

The road surface directly in front of the entrance to Bello Close off Norwood Road has suffered from a series of cracks and large dips for a number of years. This has recently got substantially worse probably due to the harsh winter and the fact that Norwood Road is a very busy and fast bus route.Buses and large container HGV's hammer this part of the road sending shock waves that used to just shake our front windows. It now shakes the windows at the back of the house.

Have contacted Lambeth council since posting this problem on Fixmystreet and received a reply by email detailing problems with funding and priority for Norwood Rd but said they were reasonably confident resurfacing work would start in August. Its now halfway through the month and there is no sign of anything happening as yet. Will post again in 4 weeks. Thanks

No re-surfacing work on Norwood Rd as yet and the problem seems worse.Scanning the Tfl works site (via Lambeth council site)I notice work is scheduled to start on Norwood Rd in October, however we were assured re-surfacing would start last January and also another unspecified date in '09 so we live in hope that this date is honoured.
