Waste Recycling Facility

The hated (by local residents) Alpha Waste recycling is now no more. The rat and fly problem is as bad as ever until the site is cleaned up but there is light at the end of the tunnel. At least you would think there is but the powers that be in their consideration for the locals and wisdom have allowed the site to be advertised as ready to let as an established waste recycling facility. Having spent years protesting about this ludicrously and ineptly situated facility in the heart of a residential area, with a school over the road and a pub serving food outdoors in the summer adjacent to it you would think that even a council official would have got the message. I'm posting this here as a notification, if nothing else, that the protests will not go away because the problem has a potentially new name. What this area needs is new jobs in clean industries which could be set up on this site, not being ‘dumped on’ with facilities accompanied by smells, flies and rats, that other areas do not want in their back yard. Waste has to be managed but it needs to be managed in an area that is not a residential one. I can only assume these decisions are been made by people who are not elected and so think themselves immune from the will of the people. I would like to wish on them the plague of rats that daily appear in both my front and rear gardens and a house full of flies that originate from this site.

Updates
I was asked to provide an update for a problem that will not be fixed unless the powers that be interveen and prevent this site being leased as a waste recycling facility. The owners of the sitte have little interest in the people who live here and the city council seems to have little more interest
