Dangerous corner.

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Web Manager HVI at 11:18, Tue 18 May 2010
Sent to Hampshire County Council 2 minutes later

Whilst there are current iron railing in place at the south end of Hursley village I believe that they should be extended to cover around the actual bend. We have already seen one car come of this bend (see the Hursley Village website’s accident log www.hursleyvillage.info). The path is used by many families walking small children to and from school each day, and an accident waiting to happen.

Nothing heard regarding this problem. It was also reported to roads@hants.gov.uk with an automatic reply only.

Had an email from Alan at Hampshire County Council on Fri 28/05/2010 19:01 "Thank you for contacting Hampshire County Council. Please would you be good enough to re-send your original message and/or your reference number to able us to locate your enquiry and update it for you." So basically they lost the email I sent them! It has been re-sent but again nothing of a follow-up in any sort, why do we bother!! Thanks at least FixMyStreet have followed up and will hopefully have better luck.

The council are now looking at this issue but do not hold out much hope at this stage.
