Abandoned scaffolding

Reported anonymously at 14:41, Fri 7 May 2010
Sent to Hackney Borough Council 3 minutes later

In the back garden of rented property for 4 yearscovering entire house. Unmaintenanced and potentially dangerous. Landlord has done nothing despite numerous complaints. How can it be removed? Company it belonged to no longer exists I've been told. Only council information found is that we can not sell it as it does not belong to us.

The original scaffolding company was contacted in early May. They had been unable to gain access after finishing work on the property. Still waiting for them to set a removal date so I can give them access.

Scaffolding company has made no further contact and does not return calls. Landlord has made clear he does not want the scaffolding to go as he uses it for maintenance work.
