Entrance to Otley Terrace

The entrance to Otley Terrace is not wide enough for a car to be parked there and get a car down the road. We have to 'bump' up the curb and onto 2 wheels then 'bump' down the curb further down, where the road is wider, to park outside our property. Could the road be made wider at the entrance so we do not have to do this? There is a pavement on the otherside for pedestrians to walk down. Bumping up the curb has ripped the rubber trim off my car and 1 of the front grills. Thank you

Our friend is right, there is a problem that needs to be fixed, although robbing pedestrians of their footway is not the solution. The council has a legal obligation to provide adequate footway on either side of the highway, adequate for pedestrians, including parents with buggies, wheelchair users, etc. Bollards need to be placed on the junction to prevent vehicles unlawfully driving onto the footway and parking restrictions need to be introduced so that vehicles are not parked close to the junction. What would happen if an emergency vehicle (fire engine or ambulance) needed to get down there?
Thanks for the update, I agree that taking away the pavement altogether is not the answer. If there is 2 cars parked at the entrance then there is no way to get down the road other than to bump up the curb. Maybe a couple of concrete bollards at either space so that we can at least turn down our road. Attached is a picture of what bumping up the curb done to my car.
