Traffic Lights change when there are no cars waiting!!

Reported in the Traffic lights category by S Lawrie at 23:56, Tue 27 April 2010
Sent to Aberdeen City Council 4 minutes later

These lights continously change to allow the Shell entrance to be on green. This would be fine, but they change at times when there are no cars waiting at either junction of the cross road, especially later on at night. I have waited at these lights for approx 5 mins sometimes, which is not the worst at night, but during the day it causes tailbacks. And even at night it is very annoying being stopped for prolonged, un-needed amounts of time when there are NO cars whatsover sitting at these green lights. Please adjust the sensors for the shell junction and evans halshaw junctions to only change to green if there are cars waiting!!!

Yeah i think the problem is that they are the "old" style of lights , without the LED bulbs etc so their sensors must be waring out. Fingers crossed the council will re-program them or replace them altogether

...hopefully...I am sure it'll be on their list somewhere...but it must be an awful long list. Common sense would have been to fix these when the road surface was being relaid - but I am sure they would just say, sorry sir but 'that's a different department' !
