Dean Swift development works

The Dean Swift pub, 32 Lafone Street, SE1 2LX, which is in the Tower Bridge conservation area, is carrying out considerable refurbishment works, but there have been no "notices" posted which would indicate a planning application for these works.
I understand that a commercial kitchen is being installed on the first floor of the premises, which was previously residential accommodation. In connection with this, a large extraction system and machinery has today been installed, including an approximately 4 meter tall chimney, which is clearly visible from Lafone Street, and from surrounding residential properties, and which is likely to pollute the surrounding area.
This work is definitely detrimental to the conservation area, particularly so as the Dean Swift is mentioned as a building of some importance on page 31 of Southwark Council's Regeneration Department report titled 'Tower Bridge Conservation area appraisal, July 2003'.
Could you please be kind enough to investigate whether a planning application has been submitted, and whether you consider that the work contravenes what is allowed in a conservation area ?
