Constant abuses of the double yellow lines on Coopers Lane

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 13:34, Tue 20 April 2010
Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council 1 minute later

Despite the Council's sterling efforts to enforce parking restrictions on Coopers Lane, several residents are still parking either on the lines or on pavements covered by the yellow lines (particularly in the "passing space" between 50 and 52 Coopers Lane). As no parking attendants work outside office hours (and don't check this area during the daytime either), residents and visitors are free to abuse the yellow lines here and also park far too close to the fire hydrant in the same area.

When police are called or informed, they have absolutely no interest in coming out to ticket vehicles.

Double yellow lines, pavements and fire hydrants are still being parked on mostly out of office hours / overnight but with a lot of people chancing it during daytimes and weekends too.

Double Yellow Line abuse on Coopers Lane has subsided thanks to a few instances of ticketing but the entrance to Coopers Lane (on Ock St) is often still blocked by a blue car parking there 24/7 - making it extremely difficult to turn left out of Coopers Lane into Ock Street because the view is obscured
