Give way/Stop sign required

The junction of The Ghyll and Maple Grove is causing problems. I live nearby and have recently been involved in an RTC whilst travelling down The Ghyll. As I passed the junction with Maple Grove, a car exited Maple Grove without looking colliding with me. My insurance claim was settled in my favour however this is something which I see on a daily basis. Cars do not slow/stop when turning in and from Maple Grove, often travelling around the corner at 30mph. I have some sympathy with drivers as the the road layout is not clear as to which is where the road goes. Some sort of painted road markings is required, for give way or even stop signs from Maple Grove. In addition one of the residents has a high hedge preventing a view to the right as you exit Maple Grove onto The Ghyll, surely this suggests a stop sign is more appropriate than a giveway. In any event, some sort of road signage is required. There are also usually parked cars on/near to the junction which make this even more hazardous. Whilst settling my own case, I have become aware of other RTC's at this location and several near misses. A visit to the junction will clearly show the problem to yourselves and I can look forward to seeing some form of road markings. Regards
