Pothole

A pothole formed in middle of road due to a water leak. The water company fixed leaked within days of reporting it, but left the pothole that the leak had caused. The pothole is rapidly getting bigger as it is in the middle of the road and in the path of traffic.

The council have investigated the issue and filled the hole with a very loose 'blob' of tarmac. Not exactly what I'd call a fix.
