Barnes Bridge Improvements

The leaflets around Barnes bridge have stated that the total cost of rennovations for Barnes Bridge is around £3m. After spending this much money on improvements, it would have seemed that some of the budget could have been allocated to making the bridge acessible for the disabled, cyclists and pushchairs. Was the public consulted about the design and allocation of money? If so, it was done with little citizen input.
