All along the section of road from the roundabout at the top of Alexandra road to the junction with penalvern drive the road surface is breaking up, There are many older layers of road showing in places and the potholes join up to make a drive or ride along this stretch very uncomfortable, there is also a large amount of gravel in the road which seems to be the remains of the road surface. The area at the bottom of kings road is particularly poor and has been patched in the past, these patches all add up to make the surface much more uneven. The state of the road is dangerous as it offers reduced grip and could result in increased breaking distances or a be a hazard to cycles and motorbikes. This road is a key road in the area due to the Ambulance station being sited here. Complete resurfacing is the optimal result here, the place has been patched up many times already and it simply does not work anymore.
