Traffic light phasing at West Town Lane/Callington Road/Brislington Hill junction

Please sort this out. Currently the traffic lights at the new roundabout you've constructed are phased so that, when the lights go red at West Town Lane going onto the roundabout and are already red at the top of Callington Road going onto the roundabout they are still green for traffic coming onto the roundabout from the Brislington Hill (A4) direction to go down either Callington Road or West Town Lane. Fine. But they are also green in the position on the roundabout that brings the traffic BACK into the line going on to the junction to Brislington HIll (i,e, eastwards). The only point of having this line is to provide a way for vehicles leaving the Lidl car park and wanting to return to the A4. The point is that this light stays green for a ridiculously long time, long after the red light has stopped vehicles entering the roundabout from West Town Lane. This causes traffic to build up on the hill at the top of Callington Road completely unnecessarily. There are no cars coming out of Lidl and it is very frustrating, when you are queuing at the top of Callington Road, seeing this unnecessary green light stay on long after the light turns red for traffic coming out of Wwest Town Lane onto the roundabout (which is where 99% of the traffic coming onto the roundabout in front of Callington Road traffic comes from).
Would please reduce substnatially the time this green light is phased to stay on. It will be to no-one's detriment other than the non-existent traffic coming out of Lidl and wanting to get back to the A4 and will create some much-needed goodwill from us motorists using Callington Road to the A4 who have put up with these "improvements" since November last year - a programme that was supposed to take only six months and ended up taking over ten. And these "improvements", as so often is the case, have not only failed to improve traffic flow at all but actually made it worse.

These traffic lights are ridiculous - why put traffic lights on a roundabout in the first place?
Whoever designed this junction needs shooting!!!

If you are leaving Bristol towards Bath you sit at red light when no one can be using the road. This whole junction is an unmitigated disaster.

Absolutely, the road system in Bristol is disasterous, but then most road planners need shooting - look at the Magic Roundabout in Swindon, what was he smoking the day he designed that!!

it is not the lights that are the big problem, it,s the drivers blocking the traffic by crossing the yellow no go areas.if these were policed, and dare i say it /as a non fan of cameras\ one installed these lights would be more effective.it is frustrating and really annoying to have gereen lights and having your way blocked by equally frustrated drivers.
