Cycle lane

Sent to Cardiff Council 3 minutes later

I took a rather scary bike ride with my son today, along James st and Clarence rd bridge today. The bike lane is in rough condition the surface is cracked and very uneven and dips and cracks were sending me all over the road. Whilst burly men on mountain bikes might enjoy being bounced around everywhere I don't, also there were many vans and cars parked on the bike lane out side the betting office, this seems to be a hot spot for illegal parking. Also the bike lane is closed on the one side of the road, and has been for a year or two. As there are no men working on the abandoned site there is no need for the boarding covering the footpath The whole point to the bike lanes were to make bike users safer. It seems that once the bike lanes were put in the council have forgot about them, they are poorly maintained and down right dangerous in some parts of Cardiff.

I have now become despondent with CCC as they never seem follow through on anything I put on here. I have filed about 14 complaints in the last year and only 2 have been completed,
