Rats

I have twice seen rats scurrying around in the undergrowth by the top of the foot underpass under the railway. If they're showing up in broad daylight it probably means a major infestation, and there are grocery shops & takeaways in the immediate vicinity so this could be a potential public health issue.

Had email from council saying problem had been passed to their Pests Dept, but so far no sign of any bait boxes or other rat things. But I haven't seen any more rats, either ...
