For over a year now there has been an offensive Anti-Israel mural painted on the corner of Muntz Street and Coventry Road, it depicts the Gaza war but it is also replete with Islamic symbols, such as the Dome of the Rock rising above the Palestinian Walls (signifying Islam's dominance over Israel). there is also a man holding a shoe up at the Israeli forces, raising one's shoe to someone is a mark of disrispect. There is also Islamic inscriptions near the flag of the PLO, which as a Palestinian Arab Jew I find most offensive, because freedom for Palestine has nothing to do with Islam, it is supposed to be freedom from all religious groups who are Palestinian, do the Jews, Christians, Druze and Samaritan religious community symbols not also warrant some respect here too? I think its disgusting that such blatant political and pro-Islamic, and Judeophobic murrals should be allowed at all in a MULTICULTURAL city.
