Sent to Cambridge City Council 4 minutes later

A resident of Milton road has decided to use the road approaching the junction as a storage area for countless buses, recovery trucks, motorhome and 4x4 with a long trailer, old MG saloon, - all in need of repare

All these make the road extremely narrow and makes the street look like a scrapyard.

I raised this with city and county councillors during the open forum of the North Area Committee on the 4th of March 2010.

Cllr Pitt has agreed to look into what's happening here.

I agree the vehicles are causing a hazard as a result of being parked very close to the junction.

It appears possible someone is running a business in contravention of planning law. Hopefully Cllr Pitt can identify the person (or people) responsible and have a chat to them and resolve the situation to everyone's satisfaction.

Update after a month - seems to be getting worse!

The resident lives 5-4 houses down on Milton Rd (heading towards town), it is easy to spot as it looks like he is running a scrapyard from his front door.

Update: A Chinese shipping container is now being stored on the road...! What next, a 747?
