Non-emptying of bins

Sent to Horsham District Council 1 minute later

Despite phoning 4/5 times the ordinary bins and the recyling bin are not being emptied. When I complained a few weeks ago I was assured that the men knew where the pick-up points were. However, one of the dustbin men called into Freeman Brothers Funeral Directors office to ask where 31B High Street bins were kept!! The ordinary bin was then emptied - but nothing has happened since then! This flat belongs to Freeman Brothers along with Flat 31A so there are 2 ordinary refuse bins and 1 blue top bin - which, incidently, was left in the High Street right outside Freemans front door when it was first delivered. We never experienced any problems with the former bin company - so why is this happening now?

Initially spoke to a very nice, polite, helpful lady. However, the bins were only emptied when she specifically told the bin men where they were located. They then remained unemptied for a further few weeks (the recycling bin was'nt emptied at all!). When I phoned up again I got a very rude woman who said that I had been left an information pack in my dustbin telling me where the collection point was. I did'nt. There was no info pack left because the men had'nt got a clue where my bin was. I said there was no way I was leaving my bin in Little East Street because the last time I did someone stole my bin!! She was very offhand and totally unsympathetic - wrong person in the wrong job!!! All of the bins have finally been emptied and I hope that this is the end of this very stressful exercise. Possibly, the fact that I said I wanted a rebate on my council tax may have prompted some positive action!!!
